About Christmas Magic
While November is the month for Thanksgiving, we want to work ahead to show foster families in Ottawa County how thankful we are for their daily sacrifices with a gift at family Christmas time. We'll use the month of November to work together with our community by collecting family presents, gift-wrapping supplies, restaurant gift cards, and monetary donations.

Last year, Dr. Kelsey Prince and her team at Wellness Co. helped us launch this initiative by opening their doors for donations and encouraging the community to stand alongside foster (see attached 2021 newspaper article from the Holland Sentinel about Wellness Co.’s involvement). To increase our goal from last year’s from 10% to 20%, we are asking local businesses to join this initiative.

About Michigan Fosters
Michigan Fosters works to amplify the voices of those involved in the foster care system through awareness and community involvement. We do this through several programs, most notably Journey Home, located at 832 E. 8th Street, Holland. Journey Home is a gathering place for children in foster care to meet with their parents while in foster care – instead of meeting at the agency office.
